An amount of Rs. 32.44 crore has been disbursed to the States and Union Territories for the implementation of the Scheme up to January 18, 2024, for the fiscal year 2023–2024.
Post-Matric Scholarships
Designed to support students pursuing post-matriculation or post-secondary education, this scholarship requires that the total annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000. Students are entitled to an academic allowance ranging from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 20,000 based on the type of course. A total of Rs. 387.27 crore has been released to the States and Union Territories for the execution of the Scheme through January 18, 2024, for the fiscal year 2023–2024.
Top Class School Education
This initiative aims to fund the education of deserving students from OBC, EBC, and DNT categories, starting from Class 9 and continuing through Class 12, providing them access to high-quality education. The total annual income from all sources for eligibility is Rs. 2,50,000. Scholarships cover tuition fees, room and board, and other specified expenses by the school, up to a maximum of Rs. 75,000 for students in classes 9 and 10, and Rs. 1,25,000 for students in classes 11 and 12. Top-tier College Education Program
With the goal of recognizing and fostering high-quality education, the program extends comprehensive financial support to students falling under the OBC, EBC, and DNT categories. Eligibility criteria include a total annual income not exceeding Rs. 2,50,000 from all sources.
