However, on August 24, 2022, the scheme was renamed as the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana. This scheme aims to benefit approximately 27 lakh families of girls based on the socio-economic conditions of the state according to SECC-2011. In total, around 37 lakh families in Jharkhand are expected to benefit from the Mukhyamantri Sukanya Yojana 2024.

Under this scheme, eligible girls of the state, from class 8 to 18 years, will receive financial assistance in installments. Upon reaching the age of 18, they will receive a one-time amount of ₹20,000 for higher education or marriage purposes.
